New Pot Plants 2016 Catalogue
FloriPro Services has strengthened its cyclamen offer with the launch of its 2016 Pot Plants + Chrysanthemum and Aster catalogue.
The Perfetto series of very early, large flowered cyclamen now joins the Midori, Laser and Sierra ranges under the Synchro umbrella, which offers the highest possible levels of uniformity in habit and earliness, and facilitates easy crop planning.
There is a new Perfetto Synchro White, an improvement on two earlier versions of the colour. Suitable for large scale, efficient production, the Perfettos yield high quality plants in 10.5 to 12cm pots at high density and in a short timeframe. The plants' compact, rounded habit and short flower stems ensure trouble-free transportation.
The striking picotée Snowridge range, available as Mini, Midi and Maxi series and with great impulse appeal, has several new introductions for 2016. Mini Scarlet and Mini Rose are added to a series suitable for late production and with good outdoor performance. The launch of Midi Scarlet means this medium-flowered, early blooming range is now available in three colours. Snowridge Maxi Wine is the fourth colour in this large flowered and early flowering section. Snowridge cyclamen have larger flowers than other picotée types, and are notably floriferous and small leaved. With a rounded, well formed structure, they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and have the advantage of low sensitivity to Botrytis.
The Winfall series is enhanced by the introduction of Scarlet Improved. It has better central flowering, and its intensely scarlet colour is superior to that of the previous variety. Winfall Deep Rose is also new to this range. The Winfalls have an open structure, with thick leaves and leaf stems, while their low sensitivity to Botrytis makes them well suited to late production régimes.
The Sierra Synchro series has a new colour in Wine Flame Improved; this large flowered, premium series has superb uniformity and earliness, is well suited to 12 to 15cm pots, and is ideal for Duo and Trip production systems.
The Midori Synchro range of mini cyclamen includes two new varieties in this concept - Synchro Purple and Synchro White, plus Wine Flame Improved in the Midori selection. Their heat tolerance makes them easier to grow in summer and early autumn, a compact habit means more plants per bench, and their small leaves allow plenty of flowers on each plant.
Also new is the free-flowering Super Series® Carino Mix, which is more vigorous than Verano, and ideal for the period between Verano and Mini Winter.
A further addition for 2016 is Fleur en Vogue Purple Improved, which joins this large, speciality selection of 'umbrella-flowering' types. Blooming from September to December, this premium market range will be linked to a promotion and has limited availability.
The new catalogue also includes ranges of poinsettia, gerbera, Primula obconica, solanum and capsicum, including two new additions to the Capsicum frutescens Acapulco series in Multicolour and Red.
