FloriPro Services™ offer garden Chrysanthemum’s to UK market
Following the acquisition of the Chrysanthemum business from US flowers producer Yoder Brothers Inc at the end of 2008, Syngenta FloriPro Services™ will now deliver its Garden Chrysanthemum young plants during 2011.
This is the first commercial year that FloriPro Services™ will offer its Garden Chrysanthemum assortment, however, there has been significant production and transportation trials during 2009 and 2010. Trends have led to breeding that has produced a ball-shaped habit of late rather than the v-shaped, upright habit that was traditionally associated with Garden Chrysanthemums. This is true for the new Jacqueline variety from FloriPro Services™. A decorative type, available in four colours for 2011 - orange-red, pink, yellow and white which usually flower around week 37 from natural day production.
FloriPro Services™ offers its Chrysanthemum young plants as glued plugs (suitable for automatic transplanting) in its well-known, environmentally friendly, young plant carrier - 128 Xtray®. All varieties offered through FloriPro Services™ can be programmed to go on sale during weeks 33 to 41 from natural day production.
